Those of us independent jewelers and makers know the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of the buildings their players. Perhaps an unexpected truth, the world of independent artisans that I know, is one of community and camaraderie...often sharing everything from contacts to tools and championing each others' success.
Owning your own business is not without its struggles and designing in a vacuum often leads to bouts of doubt....I am grateful for my community within the community in the center of Manhattan.
